Position Overview:
The Assistant Infant Teacher partners with the Lead Teacher to create a loving, responsive, and developmentally rich environment for infants. This role supports infants' growth through consistent care, meaningful interactions, and play-based experiences that foster trust, curiosity, and early development.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing daily care routines, including feeding, diapering, napping, and comforting
- Supporting sensory-rich, developmentally appropriate activities
- Observing and responding to infants' individual cues and needs using the Conscious Discipline Curriculum
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom that meets licensing and accreditation standards
- Building positive, secure relationships with infants, families, and team members in the classroom and through home visits
- Communicating regularly with families about care and development
- Consistently following all state licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience working with infants
- CDA or associate's degree in early childhood or related (required)
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Strong communication and classroom support skills
- Ability to meet background check and health requirements
