Position Overview:
Dimondale Adolescent Care Facility is hiring a full-time, on-site Therapist to provide clinical services to youth ages 12–18 in a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). This position carries a caseload of six youth and requires availability for crisis situations.
Compensation:
Starting salary: $70,000 (negotiable based on experience and licensure)
Work Environment:
This is an in-person role. All clients are also housed on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and create treatment plans
- Offer crisis intervention
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and case management teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with DMH and agency standards
- Participate in agency meetings and ongoing clinical supervision
- Completes resident psychosocial assessments and provides diagnoses.
- Formulates treatment plans which promotes development and maintenance of individual goals designed to facilitate individual growth, improved social interaction, ability to manage mental illness and live independently.

- Qualifications:
- Registered or licensed with BBS (ACSW, AMFT, LMFT, LCSW, Psy.D with waiver, or Licensed Psychologist)
- Master’s degree in a mental health field
- Experience with adolescents and mental health treatment
- Experience utilizing Exym is a bonus
- Ability to work full-time and participate in on-call crises rotation
- Must be available to provide crisis intervention as needed
- Must demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must display effective communication skills, ability to adapt to various demands of clients, must show ability to demonstrate dependability, willingness to show initiative in carrying out responsibilities.
- Must be 21+ years old
- Must possess a valid California driver’s license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by Dimondale's insurance carrier.
- Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Child Abuse Index Check (CAIC) background clearance.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Must complete Pro-ACT certification within 30 days of hire
Additional Skills:
- Experience working with at-risk youth or in a similar social service setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Familiarity with HIPAA and DMH compliance
- Ability to manage a caseload of 6 youth effectively
- Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
