Senior Growth Officer - Port & Terminal Operations Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Growth Officer to lead the expansion of port and terminal operations. This executive will spearhead efforts to increase cargo volumes, develop new market opportunities, and strengthen long-term customer relationships. The ideal candidate will bring industry expertise, a proven track record in business development within maritime logistics, and the ability to develop innovative growth strategies to ensure sustained success.

Senior Growth Officer - Port & Terminal Operations Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential shippers, customers, and promising market segments. Balance short-term revenue gains with long-term sustainable growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, providing ongoing operational support, strategic guidance, and identifying opportunities for mutual growth.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development plans, marketing campaigns, and budgets aligned with organizational growth objectives.
  • Craft compelling proposals, negotiate contract terms, and close deals to expand the customer base and meet revenue targets.
  • Analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and market data to uncover new opportunities. Regularly collaborate with senior management to refine growth strategies based on industry insights.

Senior Growth Officer - Port & Terminal Operations Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, maritime studies, or a related discipline (preferred)
  • 7-10 years of experience in maritime logistics, terminal operations, or related industries with a strong focus on business growth
  • Proven success in securing new cargo volumes, marine clients, and long-term contracts within a terminal environment
  • In-depth knowledge of vessel operations, stevedoring services, marine logistics, and pricing models
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
  • Willingness to travel as needed and work non-traditional hours when required
  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and project management skills
