American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ER Holding position in Ohio, requiring a compact or OH RN license and strong critical care skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the ER Holding unit of a hospital settingCare for a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatricsTypical patient ratio is 1 : 4Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three nights per week from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30Uses Epic for documentationResponsibilities include managing complex medical cases often requiring advanced monitoring and interventionsEngage with multidisciplinary teams and utilize rapid response resources as neededMust complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after contract signingLocals are accepted at the same rate as travelersFormer employees are eligible to apply if separated from the facility for at least 6 monthsCurrent employees are not eligible for travel positions at this facilityRequested time off must be submitted at the time of application\n \n Requirements\n
Active compact or Ohio RN license required at time of considerationMinimum 2 years of experience as an RNCertifications required : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALSExperience with telemetry, dysrhythmia management, PCU / stepdown care, IV insulin and heparin protocols, renal failure management, cardiac and vasoactive drips (with titration), blood product administration, tracheostomy management, rapid response, wound care, and non-invasive airway managementExperience with Epic documentationEducation must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing programTwo professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisory role\n Benefits\n
