American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ER Holding position in Ohio, requiring a compact or OH RN license and strong critical care skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the ER Holding unit of a hospital setting
  • Care for a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Typical patient ratio is 1 : 4
  • Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three nights per week from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Uses Epic for documentation
  • Responsibilities include managing complex medical cases often requiring advanced monitoring and interventions
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams and utilize rapid response resources as needed
  • Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after contract signing
  • Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
  • Former employees are eligible to apply if separated from the facility for at least 6 months
  • Current employees are not eligible for travel positions at this facility
  • Requested time off must be submitted at the time of application

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active compact or Ohio RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
  • Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia management, PCU / stepdown care, IV insulin and heparin protocols, renal failure management, cardiac and vasoactive drips (with titration), blood product administration, tracheostomy management, rapid response, wound care, and non-invasive airway management
  • Experience with Epic documentation
  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisory role
