MEP Superintendent

Position Overview

The MEP Superintendent will oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of construction projects, ensuring that work is performed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is critical in managing subcontractors and collaborating with project managers to facilitate successful project completion, particularly in residential and healthcare construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate all MEP activities on construction sites to ensure compliance with design specifications and local regulations.

Manage schedules and budgets for MEP installations, ensuring timely completion of milestones.

Lead and supervise the MEP subcontractors, providing guidance and resolving any issues that arise during the construction process.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.

Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems into overall project planning and execution.

Prepare and maintain detailed reports on MEP progress, issues, and resolutions for project management review.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP construction supervision, with a focus on residential and healthcare projects.

Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction practices related to MEP systems.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively under tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and leadership skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
