Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.
- Championship of On?Shelf Availability and responsible for receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in?store inventory processes.
- Validates and ensures accuracy of planograms.
- Reviewing and coordinating proper use of reports and system applications, which impact accuracy of front end and pharmacy on?hand balances and pricing.
- Executing and maintaining front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, filing claims for warehouse and vendor overages, shortages, order errors or damaged goods including prescription drugs.
- In designated stores, open and close the store in the absence of store management, including required systems start?ups, cash handling and cashier responsibilities, ensuring floor and stock room ready for business day.
- Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions.
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members.
- Execute and coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes.
- Scan in all deliveries while vendor in store, perform One Box receiving, contact vendor for undelivered items, open tickets as needed.
- Under pharmacist supervision, verify all pharmacy shipments posted and complete / verify postings of pharmacy warehouse orders and other daily pharmacy activities.
- Perform On?Shelf Availability (OSA) end?to?end process, including warehouse and DSD for planogrammed departments, disposals, call?ins, vendor returns before expiration.
- Complete pharmacy inventory activities such as recalls, vendor returns, non?controlled and damaged salvage returns, excess inventory returns or inter?store transfers.
- Execute all pricing activities including price changes, markdowns, markup deletes.
- Support front end and pharmacy ordering, order expense items, monitor pharmacy manual orders, maintain consigned inventory.
- Ensure designated pull & quarantine items on?hand are updated and placed in holding area.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and on?hand quantities.
- Ensure store maintains inventory compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (alcoholic beverages, tobacco).
- Assist in maintenance of inventory records, including receiving and posting of all products in inventory systems, organize files and retain invoices / receipts / return authorizations.
- Help prepare for physical inventory and support physical inventory day activities.
- Support keeping all counters and shelves clean and well merchandised.
- Knowledgeable of all store systems and equipment.
- Assist and coach store team on package delivery activities, staffing Pickup Program.
- Serve as leader on duty responsible and accountable for registering all related sales on POS, handling scanning errors, price verifications, voids, returns, cash drops, etc.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete any additional activities and tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
Attend company?based trainings and complete all e?learning modules including safety training requirements.Obtain and maintain a valid pharmacy license / certification as required by the state.Communications
Serve as liaison between management and non?management team members by coaching and developing other capabilities with inventory systems.When serving as leader on duty, communicate assigned tasks to team members and report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.Basic Qualifications
Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal) or one year of prior retail work experience (external).Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.Achieving expectations rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in previous 12 months (internal only).Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi?task and manage execution.Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate.Prior work experience with Walgreens and an evaluation on file.An Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability / veterans.
