Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with Level I trauma experience and the ability to both circulate and scrub for a hospital-based position.
Responsibilities
Work in the Operating Room alongside a multidisciplinary surgical team in a short-term acute care hospitalUnit involves general, plastics, GYN, ENT, trauma, neuro, ortho, GU, and colorectal robotics casesPatient census is 70-80 daily across 21 surgical roomsDay shifts are available (5x8 hours, 7 : 00–15 : 30)On-call required for 6 shifts within a 6-week periodFloating within hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals as requiredCerner EMR is utilizedScrub attire is providedResponsible for both circulating and scrubbing duties during surgical proceduresMay be assigned to cover a wide range of surgical specialties as neededMust work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignmentFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyLocal candidates residing within Indiana are accepted, though they will have a different pay structureParking is provided free of costRequirements
Active IN or Compact RN license in hand by start dateCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or RQI accepted)Minimum of 3 years recent Operating Room RN experience with at least 1 year in a Level I trauma centerAbility to both circulate and scrub is requiredCompletion of a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNECerner documentation experience requiredMust be willing to float within hospital and to affiliate facilitiesPerm or PRN employees of the health system must have a 12-month separation before being eligibleBenefits
