Location : Remote - Texas

We're seeking experienced Medical Director to join a respected, nationally recognized healthcare organization. This remote opportunity offers a balanced Monday–Friday schedule, professional collaboration, and the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting quality behavioral health care across diverse patient populations.

Daily Responsibilities for Remote Behavioral Medical Director :

  • Provide clinical leadership for utilization management, cost containment, and quality improvement programs
  • Review complex or high-level medical cases to ensure services meet medical necessity and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with care management, pharmacy, and provider teams to optimize patient outcomes and streamline processes
  • Support the Chief Medical Director in developing policies, goals, and physician education initiatives to enhance quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Participate in physician committees, provider network development, and performance improvement efforts
  • Analyze utilization trends, identify opportunities for efficiency, and guide providers toward evidence-based best practices

    • Required Qualifications For Remote Behavioral Medical Director

  • Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy
  • Active Texas Medical License
  • Utilization Management experience and knowledge of quality accreditation standards preferred
  • Board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

  • Compensation : $231,900.00 - $440,500.00
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Monday–Friday daytime schedule
  • 20% Annual bonus incentive
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • 401(k) match and Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts (HSA / FSA)
