Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments as well as observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans aimed at achieving both short-term objectives and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy sessions that address language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide ongoing education to patients and families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Assist with selected inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care during the patient journey.
• Keep accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Stay informed about the forefront of the field through continuous education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hiring.
