Description - Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments as well as observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans aimed at achieving both short-term objectives and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy sessions that address language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
- Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care strategies.
- Provide ongoing education to patients and families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Assist with selected inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care during the patient journey.
- Keep accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
- Stay informed about the forefront of the field through continuous education and peer collaboration.
Education - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications - State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hiring.
