Business Development Director

Kaiea Solutions is seeking a Business Development Director to work remote.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to capture direct-award contracts utilizing native Hawaiian 8a contracting advantages.
• This candidate should be market facing and have extensive experience in capturing Federal contracting opportunities particulary supporting the Department of Defense.
• Lead business development in multiple markets.
• Provide detailed weekly activity reports.
• Brief senior management on new opportunities, pursuits, bid/no-bid, and capture updates.
• Develop new clients and maintain relationships by marketing and networking.
• Identify and engage strategic opportunities.
• Design plans and deliverables that enable sales and marketing to succeed.
• Identify target programs, meet and exceed metrics that align with our corporate goals.
• Develop rapport with key decision makers within the government sector.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Development Manager in the federal marketplace preferably with Department of Defense.
• An extensive network of contacts within the federal market.
• 8a sole source experience.
• Experience supporting technical small and medium proposals.
• Experience managing sales pipeline, forecasting, and closing deals.
• Excellent leadership and teamwork skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building meaningful relationships with clients.
• Attention to detail and organization skills.
• Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills.
