Position Summary :

This role will be integral in supporting day-to-day accounting functions and financial operations for our growing warehouse and logistics company. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain general ledger integrity, and support the business in achieving its performance goals through key financial insights.

Essential Functions :

• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in financial statements.
• Collaborate with the AR / AP teams to monitor and support invoices, collections, and payments.
• Help ensure timely processing of vendor bills and customer receipts.
• Assist with reviewing age reports and supporting follow-up communications.
• Track, compile, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse and logistics operations.
• Assist in developing dashboards and reports that highlight trends and potential efficiencies.
• Support the Controller and operations leadership in identifying performance improvements.
• Assist with internal audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards.
• Maintain proper documentation for all accounting procedures and journal entries.
• Support the preparation of financial data for tax and regulatory filings.
