FLS Transportation Service seeks an energetic Logistics Coordinator to join our rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Negotiate rates with carriers to maximize profitability and improve efficiency;
2. Schedule/Coordinate shipments;
3. Use various software tools to assist in finding carrier equipment;
4. Track and trace shipments with carriers and address any issues during transit;
5. Communicate service issues with the appropriate Account Manager;
6. Perform sourcing activities, including targeting new carriers, negotiating and developing carrier rates, and sourcing and selecting the most efficient carriers;
7. Perform market research for customer quoting and spot market opportunities;
8. Assist in pursuing new business opportunities;
9. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements:

• Experience in freight brokerage/3PL, with a desire to grow professionally (an asset);
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines;
• Demonstrated ability to stay current and accurately interpret industry trends;
• A true passion for sales and logistics - must be a self-starter, self-directed and highly motivated.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry systems);
• Ability to positively influence culture and behavior and work effectively with all levels within the company;
