Engineering Manager III - Mission Engineering

As an Engineering Manager in the Systems Engineering department, you will lead a team of high performing engineers across multiple domains and technologies. The role requires high levels of engagement with not just the people reporting to you, but also every program that we staff. A technical background and experience in program and people leadership is required. The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers missions. What you'll do :

• Lead and manage within the Mission Engineering Department which develops and implements processes and practices that ensure common Mission understanding within the organization. This includes : IRAD / CRAD capture, overhead management, training and career development, and support to the overall strategy for the organization.
• Provide leadership and functional direction by exhibiting behaviors that would include a unifying vision, understanding the diverse needs of others to meet business challenges, and acting with humility and a collaborative spirit.
• Support cross-enterprise communication and collaboration to provide best practices and institutional knowledge to all pursuits.
• Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with Engineering peers, internal stakeholders, and external customers.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

On-site work environment : This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Pay information : Full-time salary range : $150370 - $255630. Please note : This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
