Sales Engineer

Location : Houston, Texas Industry : Fluid Systems | Engineering Solutions | Technical Sales Full-Time | Hybrid Role | Sales & Engineering Focus Swagelok Southeast Texas is seeking a dynamic and technically driven Sales Engineer to join our Technical Sales team. This hybrid role blends engineering knowledge with solution-based sales strategy to drive business development and support customers across key accounts. What You'll Do : Develop and manage targeted assembly solutions for key accounts. Support Swagelok product sales directly and through collaboration with other members of the sales team. Lead pre-sale engineering efforts : quoting, estimating, customer communication, and technical solution development. Conduct Evaluations and Audit Services to identify needs and recommend Swagelok solutions. Partner with Project Managers to develop accurate and detailed custom proposals. Engage with customers for technical consultations, FAT visits, and post-sale follow-up. Promote a culture of teamwork, trust, and collaboration across departments. What We're Looking For : Bachelor's degree in engineering required; Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred. At least 4 years of experience in a technical, application-based selling role. Solid understanding of fluid system components and applied engineering principles. Proven experience working with customers in technical environments—problem-solving, quoting, and negotiating. Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, think strategically, and lead cross-functional coordination. Skills That Set You Apart : Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal and influence skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. Additional Details : Work Environment : Office and occasional factory / shop visits. Travel : Up to 10% outside of the service area.
