Diagnostic Imaging Chief Key Responsibilities: Typical shift M-F, 7:30am-4:00pm, shared call Position is 70-80% administrative; 20-30% clinical Generally, outpatients with varying inpatient imaging requests Effective and efficient management/supervision of SLVHS radiology programs/services Exercising administrative, programmatic, clinical, and academic oversight of radiology programs to ensure delivery of quality, patient-focused clinical services Review and evaluate professional performance, competence, and professionalism of all individuals with clinical privileges Assures all performance measures are met What We Offer: Competitive Salary: $370,000 - $400,000 Generous Paid Time Off: 50-55 days per year, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and potential 5-day paid absence for CME. Retirement Benefits: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and a federal 401K with up to 5% contributions by VA. Flexibility: No physician employment contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting. Professional Development: Up to 5 days’ paid leave and reimbursement of $1,000 per year. Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided Preferred Experience: Board Certified in Radiology. Additional fellowship training in one of the radiology specialties preferred Prior radiology leadership experience required Must be a U.S. Citizen.
