Automotive Service TechnicianResponsibilities:

• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
• Inspect motor in operation road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components
• Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devises such as motor analyzers handheld computers and chassis charts to determine how to address problems
• Adjust repair or replace parts and components of light to medium duty vehicles
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturers specifications
• Estimate parts and labour costs
• Perform scheduled maintenance service
• Test and adjust units to specifications
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
• Demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment.

Automotive Service Technician Qualifications:

• Ford and/or GM Dealership Experience Required
• ACE Certification Preferred
• Diesel and transmission repair experience preferred
• Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses.
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Efficient problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and work ethic.
• Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting standing for long periods and using power and hand-held equipment.
• Must possess a valid drivers license and a safe driving history.
