Desktop Support

Our client, a government agency in the public sector, is seeking a Desktop Support professional to join their team. As a Desktop Support specialist, you will be part of the IT support department supporting end-users and technical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Desktop Support

Location:Madison, WI
Candidates must be CURRENT WI residents. . Will be onsite in Madison 4 days per week with 1 WFH day

What's the Job?

• Perform advanced desktop support including OS and application patching and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose, patch, and deploy desktop systems and other IT hardware such as mobile devices and printers.
• Provide professional communication and interpersonal support to a diverse customer base, including executives.
• Identify, lead, and implement ITSM improvement initiatives based on ITIL and industry best practices.
• Maintain high attention to detail and strong technical troubleshooting skills to ensure optimal system performance.

What's Needed?

• Experience in desktop support and IT hardware deployment.
• Ability to diagnose, patch, and troubleshoot desktop systems, mobile devices, and printers.
• Effective communication skills for engaging with a variety of customers, including leadership.
• Experience leading ITSM improvement initiatives based on ITIL standards.
• Highly self-motivated with strong prioritization and task execution skills.
