This recruitment is part of a strategic expansion driven by continued growth across the Indiana University Health system.

IU Health is expanding access to high-quality, patient-centered care, with a new 140 bed hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The hospital will bring a broad range of services, including emergency, surgical and specialty care, closer to home for individuals and families in the region. Information on this investment into Fort Wayne's future can be found at: .

The hospital is scheduled to open in May of 2027. As such, selected candidates will be expected to begin employment in early 2027 to support onboarding and operational readiness.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical case discussions
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with laboratory standards (e.g., CAP, CLIA)
  • Interpret cytologic specimens, including Pap smears, fine needle aspirations 9FNA) and body fluids
