Director, Financial Reporting - Insurance

As the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information.

You will collaborate closely within the finance and accounting team as well as senior leadership to ensure corporate goals, cash flow management, capital deployment and expense management.

We are seeking a leader for the FP&A team in supporting the broader organization in financial analysis, forecasting and strategic initiatives.

This role requires a background that demonstrates the ability to own the full suite of financial reporting and analysis within a fast growing, dynamic organization and is ideal for someone who is looking to utilize their finance, accounting and analytical skillsets to contribute to our organization’s growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years experience
• Insurance Accounting exposure (IBNR, DAC, premium revenue / loss metrics)
• Hands-on Planful / BlackLine
• Recent technical GAAP external reporting ownership
• Hands-on with IBNR, DAC, premium recognition, loss ratios / triangles—core for an insurance / F&I environment
• FP&A management experience within a fast-paced environment, preferably Private Equity owned
• Developed understanding of insurance related accounting concepts a plus.
• Prior experience with an insurance company or service of insurance clients
• Proficiency in reporting systems and tools; advanced Excel skills are required
• Background in Big 4 accounting, consulting or banking a plus
