Radiologic Mammography Technologist (Outpatient) - $15,000 Sign-On Bonus!

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Mammography Technologist to join our Women's Imaging team at our outpatient facility. This full-time, day shift position (Mon-Fri, 10 AM - 6 PM) comes with a $15,000 sign-on bonus!

Salary Range: $98,000 to $143,000

About the Role:

Under the supervision of the Radiology Administrator, the Mammography Technologist performs routine and specialized mammography procedures, prepares patients, assists radiologists, and ensures the safe and efficient operation of equipment. This role requires adherence to established standards of care, radiation protection principles, and a commitment to exceptional patient service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for mammography exams, ensuring proper documentation.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images, reviewing exams for completeness and quality.
• Assist physicians during procedures.
• Perform equipment quality assurance and calibrations, and order supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Process images and print CDs as needed.
• Perform routine office tasks, such as answering phones and checking in patients.
• Communicate with radiologists and physicians regarding exam results.
• May serve as an instructor or preceptor.
• Provide exceptional patient care, educating patients about procedures and addressing their concerns.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.
• NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required.
• ARRT registered (RT).
• Advanced Mammography certification preferred or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• 40 hours of mammography training, including anatomy, physiology, QA/QC, and 25 supervised mammography exams.
• Maintain continuing education requirements (24 ECE credits over two years, 15 Category 1 CEUs in mammography within 36 months).
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required within 90 days of hire.
• Completion of Image Gently and Image Wisely radiation dose pledges through the ACR.
