JOB SUMMARY
This job is in the Accounting & Finance department and is responsible for overseeing the accuracy, compliance, and proper reporting of payroll processed by a third-party. Key responsibilities include managing taxable fringe benefits, incentive and bonus calculations, reconciliations and payroll-related journal entries, while also supporting ad-hoc accounting tasks and month-end close activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as primary liaison with internal payroll provider and human resources department.
- Review and validate payroll registers and reports prepared for approval.
- Ensure all employee compensation, benefits, deductions, and withholdings are accurate and compliant.
- Reconcile payroll output with internal records.
- Prepare internal payroll-related journal entries.
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate financial data.
- Track, calculate, and report taxable fringe benefits.
- Ensure proper recording and reporting of taxable fringe amounts to be included in employee wages.
- Calculate and validate incentive, commission, and bonus payments in accordance with company plans.
- Prepare incentive, commission and bonus related journal entries.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure consistency and compliance with organizational policies.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of schedules, account reconciliations, and accruals
- Provide financial data and analysis for special projects and other ad-hoc accounting requests
REQUIRED & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.3-5 years of proven experience in payroll and accounting roles.In-depth understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and reporting requirements.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.High attention to detail and accuracy.Strong communication skills to interact with employees and cross-functional teams .BENEFITS
