Software Automation Engineer - AI & DevOps

Northwest Partners is supporting a major initiative with a top-tier organization in the technology space and is looking for an experienced AI engineer to contribute to the success of this work. This role focuses on automating key parts of the software development lifecycle by leveraging advanced AI capabilities.

What YOU will do

Design and deploy AI bots to generate code from specifications and tickets

Develop tools that automatically write and update tests

Build systems to review pull requests and identify bugs or refactoring opportunities

Automate legacy code refactoring using AI

Create engineering productivity platforms to reduce reliance on manual workflows

Integrate solutions with GitHub API and CI / CD systems such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins

Utilize AST parsing tools to enhance code analysis and transformation

What YOU will bring us

5+ years of experience in professional software engineering

Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and code quality standards

Hands-on experience applying large language models (LLMs) to real-world codebases

Proficiency in Python or TypeScript

Familiarity with OpenAI Codex, GPT-4.1+, and engineering automation

Comfort with automating software engineering workflows and developer operations
