Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Modeler (SOM) Specialist to design and implement modern data modeling solutions to meet our clients needs. This role involves creating conceptual logical and physical data models for various databases including AWS Redshift S3 Dynamo DB DB2 and Postgres. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling database tuning and the development of structured and unstructured data models for business intelligence and analytics. This will be a full-time contract role and hybrid in Trenton NJ.
What Youll Do
- Design and implement modern data modeling solutions using relational dimensional snowflake star schemas and data lake models
- Collaborate with Application Development teams to build data strategies data flows and conceptual data models
- Optimize and update data models to support data initiative projects throughout various implementation phases
- Perform reverse engineering of physical data models and analyze variances across source systems
- Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency
- Evaluate system integration challenges and recommend appropriate solutions
- Work with IT teams to address performance requirements project limitations and interfaces
- Review modifications to existing software to improve efficiency and performance
