BASIC FUNCTION :
Operate a school bus in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the safety of passengers. This position requires continuous use of independent judgment. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the Transportation Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

HIRING SPECIFICATIONS :
Required Education and Experience :
(20) years of age or older.
2. Ability to obtain Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) prior to hire.
3. Ability to obtain Commercial Drivers License (CDL) within a 60-day period from date of hire.
4. Working knowledge of city and school locations.
5. Ability to use computer to take required online training.
6. Effective communication skills.
7. For internal candidates : meets or better rating on employee evaluation criteria established by the district 10 or fewer days of absence during the past 12 months zero (0) incidents involving formal discipline on file and meets all other stated requirements of the job posting.
