We are looking for a skilled Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our legal team in Warrendale, Pennsylvania. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with substantial experience in bankruptcy filings and case management, particularly in Debtor-side representation. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and communication skills to ensure seamless support for attorneys and clients throughout the bankruptcy process.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and electronically file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, statements, and related documents using industry-standard systems.
- Manage all stages of bankruptcy cases, from initiation through discharge or dismissal, with a focus on Debtor-side representation.
- Collaborate with attorneys to gather and analyze financial records, statements, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor case dockets, deadlines, and court notices, providing timely updates to attorneys and clients.
- Utilize case management tools such as MyCase, Best Case, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe to maintain organized and accurate documentation.
- Communicate effectively with courts, trustees, and clients to facilitate the progression of bankruptcy cases.
- Stay informed about current bankruptcy court rules, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Ensure proper trial preparation and discovery processes to support legal proceedings.
- Handle e-filing and court filing processes efficiently using platforms such as PACER.
- Support attorneys in civil litigation and case management tasks as required.
- A minimum of five years of experience as a bankruptcy paralegal, with significant expertise in electronic filing.
- Proven experience interacting with courts and representing Debtors in bankruptcy cases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, MyCase, and Best Case software.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
- Familiarity with discovery, trial preparation, and civil litigation processes.
- Knowledge of bankruptcy filings, e-filing systems, and PACER.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
