Responsibilities

Ascension Medical Group Via Christi is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join our cardiology team in Wichita, Kansas.

Responsibilities :

Highly-skilled, experienced and expanding team of 3 Interventional Cardiologists, 1 Interventional / Structural Cardiologist, 2 General Cardiologists, 2 Electrophysiologists; along with Advanced Practice Provider support and nocturnal APP support.

Upcoming remodeled and convenient clinic space with close proximity to the hospital.

Largest multi-specialty group practice in Kansas with More than 300 providers representing 40 specialities, including significant primary care and medical cardiology base.

Academic affiliation with the University of Kansas School of medicine - Wichita allows for teaching and training mentoring opportunities.

Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.

Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.

Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and / or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.

Licensure / Certification / Registration :

• Licensed Physician MD / DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by the Local Credentialing Office required.
