Senior Civil Engineer – Decatur, GA Salary: $110,000 annually Location: Decatur, Georgia (Hybrid flexibility available) We’re seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a high-performing team specializing in land development projects across commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and mixed-use sectors. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of technically challenging projects while mentoring junior staff and supporting the Engineering Manager in delivering innovative, high-quality site design solutions. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping civil design standards, managing project execution from concept through construction, and collaborating with clients, municipalities, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each project is delivered with clarity, care, and accountability. What You’ll Do Lead the design and coordination of civil site development projects from concept to construction. Produce and review engineering plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with codes and jurisdictional standards. Conduct site research, zoning checks, and feasibility analyses to inform early project decisions. Participate in client meetings, pre-application conferences, and internal design reviews. Prepare grading, drainage, stormwater, utility, and erosion control plans with minimal oversight. Collaborate with Project Managers, permitting teams, and subconsultants to ensure cohesive project delivery. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous process improvement within the design team. Support construction-phase services, including responding to RFIs, reviewing as-builts, and coordinating closeout packages. Contribute to technical exhibits, visual assets, and lessons learned that showcase design quality and innovation. What You Bring B.S. in Civil Engineering (required) 6–10 years of experience in civil site design or related engineering disciplines Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required); experience with Bluebeam, Smartsheet, PONDS, and HydraFlow preferred Working knowledge of grading, storm drainage, utilities, lighting, and erosion control design Ability to interpret and apply jurisdictional codes and design standards Strong organizational skills with attention to documentation and quality assurance GSWCC Level II Certification or willingness to obtain Commitment to mentorship, collaboration, and continuous professional development Why Join Us Be part of a team that values Integrity, Communication, Accountability, Commitment, Collaboration, and Craftsmanship.
