Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong in the automotive sector. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in quality inspection, development of quality inspection plans, and participation in Material Review and Failure Review Boards. This role involves managing non-conformance reporting and proficiency in Manufacturing Execution Systems.
Responsibilities
Conduct quality inspections and develop quality inspection plans.
Participate in Material Review Board and Failure Review Board discussions.
Manage non-conformance reporting processes.
Utilize Manufacturing Execution Systems effectively.
Apply knowledge of GD&T and use inspection tools for precise assessments.
Support second shift operations and ensure quality standards are maintained.
Collaborate in functional testing, focusing on electrical / electronic components.
Essential Skills
5-7 years of experience in automotive quality engineering.
Proficiency in Quality Inspection and development of inspection plans.
Experience with Material Review Board and Failure Review Board.
Ability to manage Non-Conformance Reporting.
Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with inspection tools.
Experience in functional testing, specifically in electrical / electronics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with composite materials and structures.
Experience in the automotive or aerospace industry.
Knowledge of micron antenna bonding and micron functional testing.
Experience in satellite manufacturing is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is based on-site at a client location in West Texas, supporting second shift operations. The role is set within a dynamic start-up environment focused on satellite manufacturing for the space industry. The work environment is collaborative and innovative, designed to support cutting-edge developments in space technology.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Midland, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00 / yr.
Client is paying for relocation, stipend, hotel stay and RSU package
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Midland,TX.
