California Licensed Surgical Coder

A company is looking for a Coder II - Surgical (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

Performs accurate and timely coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, modifiers)

Maintains familiarity with coding regulations and issues related to multi-specialty surgical practices

Identifies trends in coding practices and presents solutions to improve accuracy and compliance

Required Qualifications

Certified Procedural Coder (CPC) required

Certified Surgical Specialty Credentials (CGSC or others) preferred

High school diploma or GED required

Minimum of 3 years of surgical coding experience in a multi-specialty medical group

Familiarity with ICD-10-CM, CPT-4 coding, and payment methodologies
