We are seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Outside Builder & Designer Account Representative to join our team and grow our presence within the design and build community.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and manage a portfolio of builders, designers, contractors, and developers, acting as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador for Artisan West Appliance
- Provide strategic product recommendations, education, and luxury appliance solutions tailored to each project's scope and client needs
- Create accurate project bids, pricing proposals, and product packages, collaborating closely with internal and external teams to ensure seamless execution
- Build long-term, self-sustaining relationships within the design trade, leveraging customer insights and ongoing follow-up to support repeat and referral business
- Maintain detailed CRM records, manage pipeline activity, and report on sales performance
- Represent Artisan West at industry events, showroom appointments, and client meetings-becoming a visible and respected resource in the field
- Partner with operations teams to ensure project alignment, order accuracy, and timely communication throughout the sales cycle
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging brands, and category innovations through proactive learning and manufacturer trainings
- Support showroom activities as needed, including participation in events
Key Skills & Attributes
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills-both written and verbal-with a strong sense of empathy and professionalism
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a collaborative approach to teamwork
- Experience working with (or managing relationships with) designers, architects, contractors, and developers
- Skilled at balancing luxury service with operational detail and follow-through
Qualifications
- 5+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in appliances, building materials, or interior design-related industries
- Trade or bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degree a plus
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets while maintaining exceptional client relationships
- Familiarity with CRM systems, quoting tools, and sales tracking applications
