Job Description

Lead and manage multiple state tax audits, including working professionally with auditors, responding to IDRs, performing technical research, and delivering strategic, creative solutions for favorable outcomes.

• Research and analyze complex tax issues, preparing position papers, tax impact models, audit protest letters, and IDR responses.
• Determine appropriate tax reserve levels in compliance with ASC 740.
• Participate in tax planning initiatives, contributing to projects such as R&D credits, M&A transactions, state tax strategies and credits & incentive negotiations.
• Collaborate with external advisors on audits, strategic projects, and tax planning.
• Support cross‑functional teams by communicating audit developments promptly and recommending adjustments to filing positions or reserves.
• Monitor legislative changes to U.S. federal and state / local tax laws, assess impacts, and identify opportunities or risks.
• Maintain organized and accurate documentation for all tax controversy matters.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Additional Information

Work Hours : Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements : This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental / Physical Requirements : This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

Compensation and Benefits

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY : The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 129,200.00 to 187,350.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job‑related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
