35-40 hours/week. Monday through Friday 8:30am-4/4:30pm

Non-Exempt: $20.00

About the Role: As an Employment Skills Job Coach, you will play a crucial role in empowering our clients to succeed in the workplace. Your day-to-day will involve providing personalized coaching, job readiness training, and fostering positive relationships with local employers. LAUNCH is different than other agencies! As a LAUNCH Job Coach, you will be scheduled for and will be paid for the number of hours you agree to work. We will help find additional clients for you to support if your client cancels. Other agencies don’t provide that support to their staff!

Employee discounts, appreciation events and referral bonus available. You will also be eligible for staff bonuses in July and December based on the number of hours you work.

Responsibilities Include:

• Train and mentor clients in job readiness, workplace behavior, and social skills.
• Implementing goal-driven services outlined in each participant's Life Plan.
• Monitor and assess client progress to tailor coaching strategies effectively.
• Work closely with employers to create supportive work environments.
• Ability to meet physical and mental requirements
• Carry out all duties according to Agency, Program and NYS OPWDD policies and regulations.

Education & Experience: Associates Degree or Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in vocational coaching, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities. Understanding of OPWDD regulations and guidelines is advantageous. No experience, but have an interest in supporting those with disabilities? Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: We're looking for individuals with a diverse skill set, including effective communication, Strong interpersonal skills, time management, critical thinking, basic technology proficiency, and strong written and verbal expression. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate, patient, and committed to empowering others.

Conditions of Employment: Candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license and have reliable transportation.
