Job Title: Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Technician II (CLC 40)

How a Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Technician II will make an impact

• Performs installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems.
• Will verify services by testing circuits/equipment/alarms & identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
• Leverage LMR shop operations & management experience from a large-scale LMR shop.
• Will respond to emergency calls in the event of a system failure.
• Will install, remove, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, & repair telecommunication equipment, to include running/pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays.
• Apply hands‑on experience in maintenance/troubleshooting of Motorola & other LMR Equipment

What you’ll need to succeed

• Education: High School Diploma/GED
• Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience
• Required Technical Skills: Must be qualified to install LMR base stations, repeaters and mobile radios.
• Security Clearance Level: SECRET
• Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Communications consoles
  • Repeaters
  • XTS‑5000 and other hand‑held radios
  • Trunked and non‑trunked LMR systems
  • Key loaders, antennas, multi‑couplers, duplexers
  • Test equipment (service monitors/ system analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency counters, power meters, spectrum analyzer)
  • Digital recording equipment
  • OTAR keying equipment (Key management facility)
  • Site controllers
• Location: On Customer Site
• US Citizenship Required - Clearance
