Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Residential Roofing Sales Representative / Business Development Specialist to join the team of our client. This role involves meeting and developing relationships with general contractors, building / home inspectors, property managers and real estate agents in the local market while providing accurate estimates, and driving sales for residential retrofit and new roofing projects.
Responsibilities:
- Relationship builder: Must be able to build and maintain strong partnerships with real estate agents, inspectors and property managers to generate residential reroofing leads and referrals.
- Manage relationships: Cultivate, develop, maintain and manage relationships with GCs to secure bid invitations and awards for new construction roofing projects.
- Hunter: seek out new opportunities while maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities and leads for both retrofit reroofing and new construction roofing
- Market Research: conduct regular market research and investigation on GC prospects, new builds, and networks within the local real estate markets
- Business Partner: Ensures partners are happy and encourage referrals.
- Collaborator: Work closely with roofing estimators and operations to ensure acurate quotes/scope of work, timely proposals and smooth project handoff to construction.
- Roofing Sales: Must possess a strong knowledge of roofing materials and systems focused on strategic account developmet and pipeline expansion inline with company's margin goals.
- Computer Skills: Strong with documentation and reporting. Must maintain accurate, detailed notes on projects in CRM and spreadsheets.
- Team Player: Must be a team player and work well with the team
- Networking: Attend industry events and promote brand awareness by representing the company at networking functions, tradeshows, and client meetings.
- Business Development: Assist and support the sales and management team to grow business in the local market
Qualifications:
- 4 years roofing business development / sales and account management experience. Will consider candidates with solid construction experience with a strong understanding of roof types and systems.
- Proven hunter and relationship builder with existing connections to local General Contractors, Property Managers, Inspectors and Real Estate Professionals.
- Able to climb roofs and carry a ladder if needed
- Strong negotating skills
- High school diploma
- Fluent in English, Spanish fluency is a plus but not required
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Excellent verbal and written communication sklills
- Computer Proficient: use of CRM systems and MS Office
