Entry-Level Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist I EM.

Key Responsibilities

Examine medical records to assign appropriate ICD and CPT codes

Utilize coding tools to verify the accuracy of assigned codes and abstract necessary data

Maintain coding accuracy and productivity standards while participating in ongoing education

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

High school diploma or equivalent

One or more coding credentials required within 12 months of employment (CCS, CPC, RHIT, RHIA, or CCS-P)

Less than 24 months of ED professional coding experience

Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding guidelines and payer regulations

Ability to work independently and manage assigned duties effectively
