Position: Purchasing Specialist/Buyer

Location: Portland/Beaverton, OR

Onsite

Salary: $70k - $90k annually, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Forecast, plan, and procure inventory to align with customer demand while maximizing cost efficiency, quality, and delivery.

· Negotiate and oversee vendor contracts, ensuring adherence to all terms and conditions.

· Evaluate product trends and turnover rates to uncover areas for improvement.

· Work closely with sales teams to create and propose vendor programs that boost profitability.

· Maintain inventory levels and order inventory from designated vendors.

· Analyze sales data to pinpoint slow-moving items and devise exit strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.

· Experience in procurement or purchasing, particularly in ecommerce, or retail sectors.

· Proficient in negotiation and data analysis.

· Skilled in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.

· Strong communication abilities and capable of managing tasks autonomously.

· Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
