Associate Accountant

About This Team and Role

Verra Mobility is hiring an Associate Accountant. This position will report to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for managing full-cycle accounts payable process maintaining accurate financial records supporting month-end close activities with the business unit.

What Youll Do

Accounts Payable

Process and verify all vendor invoices ensuring proper coding approval and documentation.

• Prepare and execute weekly and bi-weekly payment runs (ACH check wire etc.).
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Review and transact employee T&E expense ensuring proper coding and documentation.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice or payment inquiries.
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in payables operations.
• Take part in any additional accounting finance or cross-departmental projects as required.

General Accounting

Prepare and post journal entries accruals and adjustments.
