Underwriting Specialist

A company is looking for an Underwriting Specialist / Underwriting Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Conducts technical underwriting, account management, and client management for casualty group captive programs

Oversees all pre and post bind activities, ensuring compliance and managing the renewal process

Develops and maintains relationships with producers and insureds to achieve production and profitability goals

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent training required

CPCU or similar designation is a plus

Three to five years of underwriting experience or experience in the Loss Sensitive, Excess & Surplus marketplace, or captive insurance marketplace

Understanding of Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile coverage forms

Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
