We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our growing hospital and help deliver outstanding care to our patients. In this role, you'll work closely with fellow Veterinary Assistants and assist DVMs with the day-to-day operations of the hospital. We're looking for a Veterinary Assistant with a positive attitude and a strong team-oriented mindset. Our assistants play a key role in every aspect of patient care and clinic operations. Some responsibilities include :

• Assisting DVMs with appointments, prepping patients for surgery and minor procedures, surgical assistance, and proactively setting up for diagnostics or treatments
• Safely and compassionately restraining animals for exams, procedures, or treatments
• Accurately obtaining vitals, gathering patient histories, and promptly communicating any changes in condition to the DVM
• Collecting and preparing lab samples such as fecal, urine, and ear cytologies
• Maintaining and caring for medical equipment, including lab machines, surgical instruments, and anesthesia machines
• Providing clear, compassionate communication with clients regarding patient updates and general questions

Position Requirements :

Pay range of $18.00-$23.50 / hour based on experience
