Supply Chain Technician / Warehouse Associate - 3 month temp to perm
Location : Savannah, GA 31404
Pay : $18.00 / hr
Schedule : Hiring for 2 shifts, Sun to Thurs 10 : 00p-6 : 30a & Mon to Fri 2 : 30p-11 : 00p
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Technician is responsible for the crucial logistical support of clinical and administrative operations by ensuring the accurate receipt, management, and timely distribution of all medical and facility supplies. This role involves maintaining optimal inventory levels in the central storeroom and Point-of-Use (POU) stocking locations, directly impacting patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
This role is authorized to handle and transport a variety of inventory, including legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media, and drug-containing devices, relative to the core competencies of the position.
Inventory Management & Control
- Stock Maintenance : Review and maintain all Min / Max levels for storeroom safety stock daily and place orders promptly and appropriately.
- Physical Inventory : Conduct accurate physical inventories of all Point-of-Use (POU) areas according to the defined weekly schedule.
- Stock Rotation : Actively rotate stock in POU areas and backup storeroom locations to prevent expiration and loss of dated items.
- Quality Assurance : Perform QA random checks on supply totes per approved policy and ensure all items are marked to Supply Chain standards (e.g., expiration markings, latex identifiers).
Receiving and Distribution
Receiving : Accurately receive and key all incoming supplies, including expedited and cross-docked items, into the designated inventory system ( SMART system).Delivery : Promptly and accurately deliver supplies to the appropriate departments and place safety stock in the proper locations.Returns Processing : Appropriately process all "returns to vendor" or "returns to backup stock."Logistics Support & Problem Solving
Emergency Response : Handle all emergency supply situations quickly and efficiently.Critical Alerts : React appropriately to POU "critical point" messages and instances of stock outs to minimize disruption.Charge Review : Check after-hours supply logs for charges, identify patterns, and determine how to avoid future reoccurrence.User Support : Provide direct assistance to POU station personnel, including troubleshooting supply-related problems, questions, and concerns at the nurses' stations.On-Call : Participate in the "on call" rotation as required.Required Qualifications
Education : High school diploma or GED is required .Experience : Previous stock clerk or relevant inventory experience is preferred .Core Competencies
