Job Description
The CNA instructor is responsible for leading and directing students toward their goal of satisfactory completion of the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) course.
Job Responsibilities :
completion of the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) course.prentices in Rapids and then submit completed Apprenticeship Carolina paperwork to their sharelink file.
averaging grades, getting documentation completed for MUSC Health and MTC. Coordinating clinicals with devoted units, contacting preceptors and scheduling on-the-job training for the apprentices.
o Minimum : Associates in Nursing (ADN)
o Preferred : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
o Minimum : One (1) year of inpatient RN experience and one (1) year of long-term care, Rehab or LPN experience.
o Preferred Three : (3) years of inpatient RN experience. Skills teaching or didactic teaching experience.
Additional Job Description
Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred. RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date. Refer to policy A141 for more details. A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required. Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
