Manufacturing Support Team Member - Level 3

Responsible for the end‑to‑end execution of core‑component testing\. The role combines hands‑on material handling, test‑equipment operation, data acquisition, and basic data analysis to verify that parts meet quality and performance requirements\. The technician acts as a key link between production, quality, and engineering, ensuring test results are accurate, trace‑able, and delivered on schedule\.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift and maneuver components up to 30 lbs repeatedly\.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and working at bench height / fixture level\.

Safety & Compliance

• Familiarity with OSHA / LMPI safety practices \(PPE, lock‑out / tag‑out\)\.
• Able to follow documented calibration and traceability procedures\.
• Basic Qualifications :
• High‑school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology\.
• 1-2 years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing or test environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, part numbers, and test specifications\.
• Desired Skills :
• Strong attention to detail and a "zero‑defect" mindset\.
• Effective written and verbal communication for reporting findings\.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team\.
• Problem solver who can identify, analyze, and eliminate obstacles that hinder productivity, quality, or safety\.
• Experience with X‑ray, ultrasonic, or other non‑destructive evaluation \(NDE\) equipment\.
• Knowledge of PLM / ERP systems \(e\.g\., SAP, Teamcenter\)\.
• Prior involvement in Six‑Sigma / Kaizen or other continuous‑improvement initiatives\.
• Experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment

• Work Schedules :
• Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
• Pay Rate :
• The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,800 \- $130,180\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\.
