The Opportunity

Reporting to senior supply-chain leadership, you will own the supplier strategy for all packaging materials – from corrugated and folding carton to plastics and POP accessories. Your mission: unlock cost savings, elevate quality, and fuel the company’s aggressive growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year sourcing roadmap across corrugated, folding-carton, plastics, and display components.
• Lead RFQ/RFI/RFP events and negotiate master supply agreements that deliver year-over-year cost and service improvements.
• Cultivate a resilient domestic and offshore supplier network; run quarterly business reviews and maintain scorecards.
• Champion supplier-led innovation in sustainable substrates, printing technologies, and value-added packaging features.
• Leverage data analytics (spend cubes, should-cost models) to surface savings, mitigate risk, and guide decisions.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, quality, and sales to ensure on-time launches and margin targets.
• Coach and develop two purchasing agents, embedding best-practice procurement processes and tools.
• Travel up to 30 % to supplier sites, trade shows, and technology scouting events.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (supply chain, business, engineering) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of strategic sourcing/procurement in packaging, corrugated, folding-carton, plastics, or similar manufacturing.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost-modeling.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP and supplier-management platforms.
• Familiarity with sustainable packaging trends and related regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and project-management skills.
