Maintenance Technician – Residential Properties (Sheetrock & Painting Focus)

Professional Home Buyers has served Wichita for over 20 years, and we’re continuing to grow. We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong sheetrock and painting experience to help maintain rental homes, complete make-ready projects, and assist with flip home renovations. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and contributing to high-quality home improvements.

Compensation :

$17 – $22 hour DOE & skills

Responsibilities :

• Install, repair, and finish sheetrock / drywall, including taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a professional finish
• Perform general maintenance and repairs in rental properties and homes under renovation
• Complete make-ready tasks and prepare units for new tenants
• Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry issues
• Install appliances, light fixtures, faucets, locks, and other home components
• Assist with framing, baseboards, cabinets, siding, and other finish work
• Inspect homes, identify issues, and report findings to the property manager
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Communicate professionally with tenants, coworkers, and property managers
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
