  • Location : Baltimore, MD 21218 (Maryland nursing jobs)\n
  • Healthcare Setting : ED Boarder - Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit\n
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 23 / 2025, End : 3 / 24 / 2026)\n
  • Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 30)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1590 - $1710\n
  • Patient Population : Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics\n
  • Unit Size : 52 beds, 44 rooms, daily census of 125\n

    • \n\nTelemetry Registered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active RN license in Maryland or compact state (required at time of submission)\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent MS / Telemetry or Cardiac Telemetry RN experience\n
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)\n
  • Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)\n
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)\n
  • Two (2) supervisor references required\n
  • Experience with Cerner charting system preferred\n
  • Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed\n

    • \n\nTelemetry RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients boarding in the ED awaiting inpatient placement\n
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (including titration), and respond to rapid response / code situations\n
  • Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and provide wound care\n
  • Care for patients with diverse diagnoses, including cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, and substance withdrawal cases\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services\n
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and infection control standards\n
  • Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility for floating and weekend coverage as needed\n
