ICU RN Job Details

Location : Des Moines, Iowa 50314

Healthcare Setting : ICU Unit / ICU Flex Pool

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 9 / 2025 – End : 2 / 7 / 2026)

Nursing Shift : 12 Hour Nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1930 - $1980

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Iowa or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs)

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience

Critical Care RN Certification (CCRN) preferred

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements : background check, drug screen, health screenings, competency testing

ICU RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate specialized ICU equipment

Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies
