Customer Systems Analyst (Billing)

Job Purpose

The Customer Systems Analyst supports the Billing Team in ensuring accurate and timely billing for MGE customers. This role performs data validation, reconciliations, and basic reporting while developing proficiency in MGE’s billing systems, tools, and processes. Working under guidance from more experienced analysts, this position builds foundational knowledge in billing operations, data integrity, and customer impact.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform basic data validation and reconciliation to support billing accuracy.
• Research and resolve routine billing discrepancies under direction of senior analysts.
• Prepare and maintain reports and documentation to track billing activities and metrics.
• Assist in system testing, data clean-up, and process documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent customer service and compliance.

This hybrid role is based at our Madison, WI headquarters. While three days onsite is the minimum, team collaboration and business needs may require additional in-office presence.
