Testing Clerk
The Military Entrance Processing Station plays a vital role in maintaining the nation's military might by ensuring that each new member of the Armed Forces : Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, & Coast Guard; meets the high mental, moral & medical standards required by the DoD & the military services. Every MEPS represents state of the art in testing, examining & processing applicants for enlistment into the Armed Forces. This is a permanent position.
As a Testing Clerk, you will :
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and / or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, including : Assisting in conducting / proctoring examinations for applicants at a testing site; Briefing applicants on examination procedures / directions to ensure understanding; Conducting scoring of examinations and compiling test results and information into a centralized reporting system; Safeguarding testing materials to ensure no loss of compromise of testing materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade / level position in the federal service (GS-04).
