Clinical Business Administrator - Perioperative Services

Clinical Business Administrator is responsible for managing the business and operational functions of clinical departments. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care by supporting clinical leadership with financial oversight, strategic planning, compliance management, and operational efficiency.

Education and Experience Required : Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in healthcare operations, practice management, or business administration including two (2) years of leadership experience. Certifications, Licenses, or Registration required : N / A

Preferred Qualifications : Master's degree

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Knowledgeable in healthcare administration, financial management, and regulatory compliance, with a strong understanding of clinical operations and patient care processes. Skilled in budgeting, data analysis, revenue cycle management, and process improvement to support efficient, high-quality healthcare delivery. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities with a proven capacity to manage teams, streamline operations, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Adept at using EHR systems and business software to enhance decision-making and organizational performance.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee daily clinical operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate communication between clinical and administrative teams to streamline workflows.
  • Support implementation of clinical programs, quality improvement initiatives, and patient satisfaction goals.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Analyze financial reports to track performance, identify trends, and recommend adjustments.
  • Oversee billing, reimbursement, and revenue cycle processes in compliance with payer and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to develop business plans and growth strategies.
  • Prepare and present operational and financial reports to senior management.
  • Use data analytics to support decision-making, improve efficiency, and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare laws, safety regulations, and accreditation standards (e.g., HIPAA, CMS, OSHA, Joint Commission).

Physical and Environmental Demands : Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal / clinical nature, frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds, occasional climbing, occasional crouching / stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing / pulling, frequent reaching, frequent sitting, frequent standing, frequent twisting, and frequent walking.
