The Property and Casualty Consulting Practice assists insurance companies, self-insured corporations, government entities, and other organizations with all aspects of managing property and casualty insurance exposures. We guide P&C clients on their qualitative assessment and quantification of risk and loss exposures, and offer advice on a range of issues, from external business strategy and internal risk management to economic capital modeling and new product development.
Job Description
The Global Strategy & Innovation Function is charged with supporting growth Oliver Wyman is currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Global Strategy & Innovation (GSI) team within our Property & Casualty (P&C) Actuarial Consulting Practice as the Deputy Global Strategy & Innovation Leader. The successful candidate will partner with the Global Strategy & Innovation Leader to build and implement the strategy globally with specific responsibility for implementation in North America. This role requires close partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure that concepts are viable, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following :
- Serve as a critical member of the GSI team, operating as the second-in-command to support the design, implementation, and success of the overall remit to support growth across the global practice.
- Serve as the North America GSI Leader with responsibility for driving the success of the GSI program across the region in close collaboration and support with our P&C North America Core Leadership Team and other leaders as needed.
- Serve as the GSI representative to the North America Core Leadership Team, bringing the capabilities of that team to bear in service to the advancement of the overall North America practice.
- Build and foster collaborative relationships across the practice, working with leaders in support of the practice's goals.
- Help inform the selection of P&C's innovation investments, advise on the go-to-market strategies for each one selected, and work across the practice to assess and improve strategies.
- Partner with internal teams to prepare and execute client strategies, transforming strategic concepts into actionable plans that integrate cutting-edge solutions and insights.
- Build and influence relationships across multiple levels within client organizations, engaging clients in a highly impactful manner to foster trust and long-term partnerships, and support others in doing the same.
- Collaborate with leaders to proactively identify and address known client pain points while strategically expanding engagement across a broader set of stakeholders.
- Lead and support strategic initiatives, leveraging cutting-edge approaches to advance position with key clients and accounts.
- Manage initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and goals are met.
- Collaborate with leaders to establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of implemented concepts and strategies.
- Meet individual sales targets while supporting achievement of others.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in areas of remit, staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends to continuously refine strategy and support growth.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
